This past December 2014, the love of my life, Crystal Neil, changed my world for the better. Being the hopeless romantic that I am, I planned an extravagant proposal for my fiancée. We're both fun, vibrant, and creative individuals so I knew that our proposal couldn't be anything ordinary. We met in the early fall of 2013 as we both were a part of a local musical theatre production called Pieces of Me. Crystal was the hot sexy Narrator and I was a member of the house band.
We became friends during the production and that friendship grew as the time continued on. We began dating shortly after the end of the theatrical run of the play. We found that we had a lot in common which included our love for music, games, and general silliness. As the days, weeks, and months went by, I realized that not only were my feelings for her growing deeper but I started realizing that I couldn't envision my life without her. It was then that I realized that I needed to take our relationship to the next level. I set off to plan a proposal that she would love and remember for the rest of her life.
I wanted to incorporate elements that would be reflective of both of our likes as well as personalities. With that in mind, I decided that I wanted to propose to her by providing her a day of surprises, fun, and love. First, I decided to surprise her with a movie made by and starring me. Next, I wanted her to be pampered as the Queen she is. Then, knowing how private she could be at times, I arranged for a private rendezvous at the Westin Harbor Castle where I gladly proposed on one knee. Lastly, I had arranged for our close friends and family to be present at the restaurant on the top floor for my last surprise. After I proposed, I escorted her to the top floor where she was nearly floored as everyone shouted their congratulations as we got off of the elevator.
